Nick(I believe) the cashier up front, was super friendly and helped me out with a first time visit. And the food oh my gosh it was so good and came out quick. The staff was super friendly as well and I couldn't get enough of the baked beans!

This was our first time ever, dining at Mission BBQ. In just one visit, they have secured us as long-time customers. We were greeted with a welcome yell as we walked in the door. At the ordering counter, we were welcomed by Nick behind who was working a register. We discovered he was not just an order taker, but he was a great ambassador for the restaurant brand. He asked if this was our first time and when we told him it was, he walked out from behind the counter and kindly explained the menu. When was the last time, if ever, have you had a register operator, voluntarily come out from behind the counter to help you out. He gave recommendations and helped us order. He did not just recommend the most expensive item on the menu as many restaurant employees are instructed to do. He offered any sample we wished to try. After taking our order, he gave us two free drinks because it was our first time there. We proceeded to a table and waited for our order. They normally call out your name and pick up your order at the counter. However, a different employee, Phil, kindly brought our order to the table. Phil was extremely friendly and you could tell he actually enjoyed his job. I later watched him as he straightened up the dining area and he cared about how he did his job. When he brought the food, he explained they had added a small sample of one of the meats I was considering but did not order. That was really nice. A few minutes later, Phil returned to the table with a tray with samples of all the homemade side dishes we didn’t order, just to try. Wow! How hospitable this was. The food was really good, and I give it a very high rating. My high review is not because of the free samples, it's because of the hospitality and customer service. And to top it all off, they honor servicemen and women as well as first responders. As far as I am concerned, Mission BBQ will have our business for a long, long time.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a hello. The staff were extremely friendly, being from out of state first timers, Keisha took the time to explain the entire menu to us and showed us where everything in the restaurant was located. The entire staff were all smiles, welcoming, and kind. We were surprised when all the patrons were asked to stand with the staff, and so very PROUD, to sing the National Anthem at noon. It was the MOST AMAZING dining experience we have ever had! The food was OUTSTANDING! So, if you’re someone who supports the armed forces and first responders, don’t pass this food and patriotic experience up! Much love from KANSAS!! We will be back!

First time at Mission BBQ I took the whole family. I was skeptical at first but the brisket is the best I’ve had in Pensacola. True Texas brisket, perfectly juicy and tender, with a nice bark. 6 custom bbq sauces to choose from as well. Fries are well seasoned, Mac and cheese is excellent as well. Phil was super kind and offered us samples of all the sides. Everything was top tier. Wish I found this place a year ago

Ambiance 5/5 Hygiene 5/5 Food 5/5 First of all i would return for the hospitality of Julian alone!! He is an asset for sure from the time we walked in we were greeted, fed a delicious sample (just when I thought I knew what I was going to order), he circled the dining room to ensure everyone felt like the vip customer, tidying, and making suggestions. He opened doors, wished those happy birthday, interacted effortlessly professional and personable! Music was great but also at the perfect level providing an experience but low enough to speak comfortably. Bathrooms tables floors were clean and inviting! Food: lean brisket sandwich, ribs & brisket two meat sampler cornbread collards cornbread corn mash duo. Brownie & mud pie for desert. It was filling, not heavy, flavorful, and a variety of sauces to slather your meal to your hearts desire. As if singing, doing the food dance, and enjoying my time wasn’t enough Julian made my first visit unforgettable with a small token that made my week!

I know people are either 5 stars or 1 star, and very rarely in between, but this is now my new spot for BBQ, and it is 5 stars. The first time there, I was immediately greeted by one of the friendliest servers (more on him in a sec), then I got to the front, and they were extremely patient with my wife as she was deciding; they even gave her a sample to help her choose. As soon as we sat down, our food was brought to us by that amazing server. He was personable and professional and even gave us a hint on which sauces to mix and treated everyone like they were special. - Entire staff quick and friendly - Service: Fast and Professional - Atmosphere, riddled with military support—what's not to love? - Food—BEST DAMN SMOKED BURGER EVER!!!! The fries were freshly cut, and my wife loved the brisket. Sorry, no pics; I finished it before I thought about the review. Nothing to take home.
